For 404Error. Specka is the house where my heart resides: client in the '90s, resident of the Thursday of Electropolis in the 2000's and I do it again every year. The data in this article are contrasted with the sources that link to the end.
Specka is a Madrid electronic music club opened since January 1989 on the street Orense 26, next to AZCA and New Ministries. It was founded by Rosy and Santo, visionary clubs who wanted to contribute their little granite of sand to the night of Madrid. By doing so, they could not imagine that they were founding an institution of night leisure in Madrid.
Rosy once taught me a list of all the artists who had been through the cabin. Leaves and leaves of an infinite exel full of the best names in the history of electronics. All, both nationals and foreigners, have passed through the Specka cabin, or as you really should say, Spezcka.

Thirty-seven years of history
Specka was born in the late 1980s with a collection of vinyl and has been changing skin without changing site: post-punk and new wave at first, then EBM, then trance and, for years, techno. Few rooms in Europe can count on this development from the same place and with the same people at the front.
They have passed international names such as Alden Tyrell (2007), Svreca (2010), Anthony Rother (2024 and 2025) or Erol Alkan (2026), in addition to several generations of Madrid DJs.
My story with Specka
Rosy and Santo had something special and unique. Accessible and close, they have given all young producers and collectives the opportunity to have their chance in cabin. That's why absolutely everyone, famous or not, has a special love for the house. He has been there since 1989, betting on the only thing that matters in Spezcka: quality music, which seeks to surprise, infinite blends and the audience that knows the most about music in the city.
Santo called me in 2004.»Hey, Tony, those. sets I want to open a night of electro and derivatives, it's going to be called Electropolis, come put on records.»
- Santi, man, this music in Madrid you know it doesn't really fit. I'd really like to try, but you know it's gonna be complicated.
- I don't care, it's an amazing musicon. You start on Thursday
Almost three years we were playing on Thursday nights the records that were not put on any other club. There were very bad nights, with little people, and there were full nights up to the flag until 6am on Friday. We brought Future Funk Squad and it was amazing. We designed the flyers, we recorded the sets and in my mixcloud you can find several dozen in the section of Breaks.
David Ponziano joined them several years ago to bring new ideas like Club Halley, and a fresh and international programming.
From time to time, every year, I return to my sancta sanctorum to have the privilege of putting some records with a beautiful round sound. A very special acoustics.
Santo left us in 2025 unexpectedly. My heart is shrunk by remembering a friend who always focused all his efforts on making the last thing heard, on bringing out the darkest stamps, on making his audience enjoy by surprising and exciting, especially with his beloved Technics. But this writing is nothing special. The same can be said of thousands of people who knew, wanted and respected him. This hole will never be filled.
Rosy, a fighter, combative, creative and brave, continues with the great commitment to continue to push the club that both created.
Every once in a while, Rosy invites me back. Old school or today's Deep Techno, it's nice to put me back behind the dishes in my cabin.
I had the honour of opening the 37th anniversary, which was possibly the most emotional night of my life, giving in to Rosy just two months later. I take the memory in my heart.
Rosy is and will be the true muse of the techno of Madrid. Hyper technical and perfectionist, has developed a style that only she can do. Changing the base of a classic pop underground to a modern, sets are the 7-minute, eternal, perfect mix trips, distorting reality and taking you to a parallel world. An icon from Madrid and I have the honour to say that my friend.
Celebrations that you are celebrating today

How is a night in Specka
A middle, dark room with a well-adjusted Funktion- One and a faithful audience that mixes veterans and young people. Tickets are sold by Resident Advisor and Dice, usually between 15 and 30 euros per night. It opens late and closes at six: it's no place to go for a drink, it's a place to dance.
